Raw Material Sorting & Cleaning
SS Engineers & Consultants supplies front-end lines that de-soil, de-stone, and de-stem fresh and dehydrated herbs before drying or milling. Configurable modules—vibratory feeders, air classifiers, magnetic traps, destoners, bubble/brush washers, and optical sorters—remove stones, metal fines, chaff, and foreign matter to meet export MRL and safety expectations.
Hygienic construction with SS304/316 contact parts, crevice-free frames, and food-grade belts supports quick washdowns and allergen changeovers. Inline moisture probes and batch tracking prepare lots for downstream validation and full traceability in global audits.
Heat Drying Systems
Our tray, belt, and fluidized-bed dryers deliver uniform dehydration with gentle airflow to preserve color, aroma, and actives. Multizone control enables staged temperatures and humidity profiles for different herbs (e.g., moringa, mint, basil), while heat recovery cuts energy costs and carbon footprint.
Food-grade gaskets, easy-clean plenums, and fully drainable drip trays promote sanitation. Optional inline blanching for enzyme deactivation, plus cyclone/HEPA filtration on exhaust, helps meet international food safety programs and customer audits.
Spray Drying Technology
For herbal extracts and encapsulated flavors, our spray dryers (two-fluid/nozzle or rotary atomizer) produce free-flowing powders with tight particle distribution. Carrier integration (maltodextrin, gum arabic, etc.) and inlet/outlet control protect volatiles while delivering instant dispersibility for beverages, seasonings, and nutraceuticals.
Sanitary designs feature wedge-wire internals, insulated chambers, and CIP-able ducting. Bag filters or wet scrubbers manage fines; agglomeration and lecithination options enhance solubility. Full PLC/SCADA with batch reports supports export documentation and customer qualification.
Freeze Drying for Premium Herbs
Lyophilization retains delicate flavors, chlorophyll, and bioactives by sublimating ice under vacuum, ideal for premium basil, mint, parsley, and nutraceutical herbs. Our shelf or tray freeze dryers provide uniform heat flux, precise pressure control, and moisture endpoints verified by product thermocouples.
Cleanable condensers, stainless chambers, and sanitary piping ensure hygiene. Recipe-driven pre-freeze, primary, and secondary drying phases enable repeatable quality, while nitrogen backfill and oxygen control protect sensitive actives during unloading and packing.
Grinding & Pulverizing Units
Our hammer, pin, and turbo mills—plus cryogenic options—achieve targeted particle sizes while minimizing heat build-up that can dull flavor and color. Variable rotor speeds, classifier wheels, and chilled air enable consistent D50 across SKUs, from coarse flakes to fine powders.
Contact parts in SS304/316L with tool-free access speed up cleaning between herb varieties. Inline magnets and metal detection add safety; dust collection with ATEX-style considerations and HEPA filtration supports international EHS expectations.
Sieving & Packaging
Vibratory and centrifugal sifters ensure cut-size compliance and remove agglomerates, delivering uniform powders for retail and industrial packs. Metal detection and checkweighers add final quality gates before primary packaging.
We integrate auger/fill-by-weight fillers, screw conveyors, nitrogen flushing, and MAP sealing into semi or fully automatic lines. Options include stick packs, pouches, jars, and bulk FIBCs, with serialization, QR/GS1 barcodes, and batch printing for global traceability.
